Dr. Nicholas Goetz is a Florida native who completed his undergraduate degree, dental school education, master’s degree, and dental specialty residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Goetz completed a Maxillofacial Prosthodontics Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). This specialized training equipped him with advanced skills in complex oral rehabilitation, including treating head and neck cancer patients, which are cases that require comprehensive coordination with the surgical team.
Before establishing his private practice, Dr. Goetz served as a civilian maxillofacial prosthodontist for the US Army and the VA Medical Hospital, gaining invaluable experience in treating a diverse range of patients with complex dental needs. Among a select group of approximately 300 maxillofacial prosthodontists in the United States, Dr. Goetz provides care for patients that many practitioners are unable to treat.
Dr. Kathryn (Katie) Gavalas provides general dentistry services at Ocean Breeze. She graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2017 and completed a two-year general practice residency at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she served as Chief Resident her second year.
Following her residency, Dr. Gavalas completed a one-year oral surgery internship at the Oral Surgical Institute in Nashville, Tennessee, and then earned a dual fellowship in implant and digital dentistry at the University of Florida Center of Implant Dentistry. She attends the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, which has shaped her philosophy of comprehensive dentistry. Dr. Gavalas earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 2022.

While we are not in-network with insurance companies, we’ll still help your patients get the most out of their plan. We’ll file claims on their behalf and assist them in securing any reimbursement their PPO plan allows. We also offer financing options through Cherry and Alphion to make treatment accessible.
