FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION IN DELRAY BEACH

A full mouth rehabilitation usually involves the process or rebuilding and/or replacing all or most of the teeth in the upper and lower jaws. Dr. Goetz specializes in full mouth reconstruction and is the go-to specialist for the most complex of cases.

An initial comprehensive exam will help us determine if you are a candidate for a full mouth rehabilitation.

If you are a candidate, the complexity of your case may involve other specialists, including oral surgeons, periodontists or orthodontists. Ocean Breeze Prosthodontics offers all of these services under one roof.

As a highly trained prosthodontist, Dr. Goetz makes use of improved techniques and modern technology to restore and reconstruct your mouth in the most comfortable and minimally invasive way possible.

Why Should You Get a Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Benefits of a Full Mouth Reconstruction

Repaired damaged, missing or decayed teeth

You can enjoy an attractive smile by repairing old, unattractive teeth. Dental implants, crowns, veneers, fillings, they can all restore your mouth and give you a picture-perfect smile!

Prevent Tooth Loss

When you undergo a full mouth reconstruction treatment,  not only the damaged teeth are benefited by reconstruction, but also the surrounding teeth get stronger support and a  base to prevent further tooth loss.

Enhanced Smile

A full mouth reconstruction can enhance your smile by making your teeth look even in shape and color, or fill in gaps between them.

Pain Relief

There are many dental issues that may affect your mouth and cause pain, such as tooth decay or TMJ disorders. A full mouth reconstruction can correct your dental problems and relieve severe pain.

Replacement of Unattractive Crowns or Fillings

You may still have old, worn-out dental treatments that  affect the function and look of your smile. A full mouth reconstruction can replace outdated treatments and give you back the smile you want.

Improved Bite

A full mouth reconstruction treatment can correct an improper bite and restore your chewing ability.

THE DIAGNOSTIC PROCESS

During the initial comprehensive exam Dr. Goetz will check your gum tissues, teeth, bite and overall esthetics. In particular, he will:

  • Ask about your oral and general health history
  • Carry out a visual examination to check your teeth.
  • Check out soft and hard tissues to detect any disease such as gum disease, or TMJ disorders.
  • Take x-rays (if needed) to examine the conditions of your bones and roots.
  • Shoot intraoral and face pictures of your smile
  • Take molds of your teeth for diagnostic purposes
  • Perform a cancer screening procedure

FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION FAQ

WHAT IS A FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION?

A full mouth reconstruction is the process of restoring, replacing and/or repairing all or most of your teeth when they are damaged, broken or decayed. The process usually involves different dental treatments and/or specialists.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION?

As a full mouth reconstruction case may involve different treatments (from fillings, inlays, onlays to more complex treatments such as implants, or crowns) prices will vary according to the treatment you get.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER THE COST OF MY FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION?

Dental insurance could certainly help offset some of these costs. In general, and due to the extent of these types of procedures, your insurance benefits will not be enough to cover all of the treatment.

HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?

The complexity of each case will determine how much it will be before the treatment is finished. For example, a crown and bonding case will take significantly less time than a case involving extractions and implants.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION?

Unless you've been previously diagnosed by a dental professional, chances are you wouldn't know. During the initial comprehensive exam, Dr. Goetz will evaluate your oral conditions and talk to you about the different treatment options involving your case. He will then determine if you are a good candidate for a full mouth rehabilitation.
