ALL-ON-4 DENTAL IMPLANTS

ALL-ON-4 DELRAY BEACH. All-on 4 is a dental implant procedure especially designed for patients who need to replace a whole set of teeth.

It is a fixed-full arch treatment that has proven to be a successful surgical option to restore a patient’s teeth, their aesthetics and functionality.

As its name suggests, with all-on-4, the full upper or lower set of teeth are supported by 4 fixed implants. These implants are fixed in the most solid parts of your gum, which helps avoid pre-implant bone grafting procedures.

WHY SHOULD YOU GET ALL-ON-4 DELRAY BEACH

Benefits of ALL-ON-4

An All-On-4 Delray Beach treatment can help you regain self-confidence and functionality by transforming your smile completely. Benefits of this life-changing procedure include:

All-on-4 can replace a whole set of teeth with a single dental implant procedure

You can avoid countless office visits and get your teeth successfully restored in a single procedure.

All on Four are better than removable dentures since they 1. are permanent, 2. look like natural teeth, 3. are more comfortable

All on fours allow you to eat what you want, when you want it, where you want it since your prosthesis feels like natural teeth

With All-on 4 you are less likely to need bone grafting, saving you time and making the process less painful.

All on 4 Implant Procedure is ideal for patients with failing teeth or that are tired of dealing with removable dentures

All-On-4 Procedure

All-on-4 is an implant procedure. As with all implant treatments you will get a small titanium implant screwed into your jawbone. This screw will serve as the root of the new prosthesis.

With the all-on-4 implant dental procedure you will get 4 dental implants inserted into your upper or lower jawbone. These 4 implants will serve as the basis for the full-arch set of teeth you need to replace.

Your prosthesis will then be securely fixed to these 4 implants so that you can bite, chew, smile and talk normally. Basically, your teeth will be restored all at once, without the need to insert an individual dental implant for each tooth.

IMPLANT DENTISTRY DELRAY BEACH: ALL-ON-4 DELRAY BEACH PROCEDURE

6 Steps to Getting Your New All-On-4 Smile

STEP 1. Schedule a comprehensive exam with Dr. Goetz to see if you are a candidate for the all-on-4 dental implant procedure. This visit can last up to 2 hours since radiographs and CT scans of your jaws and teeth are needed for diagnostic purposes.

STEP 2. You will need some mouth preparation involving mostly the extraction of failing teeth. Your all-on-4 dentist will use localized anesthesia to remove the remaining failing teeth and get your gums ready to insert the dental implants.

STEP 3. This phase involves screwing the dental implants into your jawbone. Typically, two implants will be placed near the front teeth, and two near the back teeth. This will allow a balanced bonding of the prosthesis

STEP 4. After the surgical procedure, you will need some post-operatory recovery, which involves suturing and cleaning. You will wear a temporary prosthesis for about 6-8 months until your mouth is ready to get the permanent restoration.

STEP 5. After the implants have fused properly into your jawbone, and your mouth has completely healed, you will get your permanent prosthesis screwed into your implants. You will finally achieve the new gorgeous smile you were waiting for.

STEP 6. It is important to remember that during the healing period you need to keep your mouth as clean and healthy as possible. Avoid smoking, biting on hard foods or doing any kind of activity that may increase bleeding or cause too much effort.

ALL-ON-4 DELRAY BEACH FAQ

Before any restorative or cosmetic treatment, most dental specialists will require you to get a comprehensive exam. Your dental implant dentist, oral surgeon or periodontist will examine your teeth and gums thoroughly. Then, you will know if you are a candidate for All-on-4 dental implants. Typically, if you need to replace a whole set of teeth (upper, lower jaw, or both) you are usually a good candidate for this treatment. You also need to have your gums in a relatively healthy condition for the implants to successfully fit and fuse to your tissues.

All-on-4 is a permanent restorative procedure. Unlike removable dentures, you won’t have to take your prosthesis out to clean or rinse in water. With all-on-4 dental implants, as with any dental implants Florida, you will get a permanent set of new teeth that you will clean and brush as if they were your natural teeth. You will be able to perform the basic functions of your mouth such as talk, bite, chew and smile without the fear of unexpected accidents.

As with any restorative procedure, your insurance coverage will depend a lot on the type of insurance you have. Most insurance plans cover up to 50% of major restorative treatments, but have coverage limitation of $1500-2000 per year. Unfortunately that covers a very small portion of your treatment. Having said that, Ocean Breeze Prosthodontics, although it is a fee-for-service office, electronically files insurance claims on the patient’s behalf so most patients get some coverage for this treatment.

Typically, the procedure of getting your new teeth can take approximately two hours per arch. If it is a complete upper and lower all-on-4 procedure, you can expect the procedure to take north of 4 hours. All-on-4 is a surgical procedure, so it takes longer than other less complex treatments. Remember you will be restoring a whole set of teeth all at once.

Yes. After the all-on-4 procedure has been completed and you have your final permanent prosthesis fixed to your 4 implants, your teeth will look completely natural again. Besides, you will be able to smile, talk and eat normally. Your gums will look natural, too. You must remember that as with natural teeth, you need to take good care of your new prosthesis and attend regular check ups and cleanings (twice a year) to see that everything is running smoothly. If you notice any kind of complications, cracks or discomfort, don’t wait too long to schedule an appointment.

After having two bad experiences with local dentists , I finally have found one that not only understands my concerns but was able to address each and everyone thoroughly with kindness and patience. Office staff incredibly nice and cheerful, for me that’s a great sign!
