New Patient Appointment Boynton Beach

We understand that visiting a new dental office can feel overwhelming, so our goal is to make your first visit as comfortable, welcoming, and stress free as possible. A Warm Welcome

When you arrive, you will be greeted by our Treatment Coordinator Ellie, who welcomes you to the practice and helps ensure your visit gets off to a smooth start. If you have not already completed your new patient forms online, we are happy to assist you with the paperwork before your appointment begins. Explore all of our dental services available in Boynton Beach.

Meeting Our Clinical Team

Once you’re checked in, our friendly dental assistant Greta will escort you to a treatment room. She will review your medical and dental history, discuss any concerns or goals you may have, and make sure you are comfortable throughout your visit. Patients considering dental implants, full mouth reconstructions, or All-on-X full arch restoration often arrive unsure of where to begin — and the first appointment is exactly the right place to start that conversation.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Every new patient at Ocean Breeze Prosthodontics receives individualized care from the moment they arrive. Here is what your first visit will include.

Comprehensive Examination

Depending on your individual needs and when your last records were taken, we will obtain any necessary digital radiographs and photographs to give us a complete understanding of your oral health. These diagnostic images allow Dr. Goetz to accurately evaluate your teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints, and supporting bone structures.

Personalized Consultation

Dr. Goetz conducts a detailed examination of your teeth, gums, bite, jaw function, and surrounding tissue. For patients arriving with existing restorations, implants, dentures, or prior prosthodontic work, he evaluates the condition and longevity of that existing work as part of your baseline. An oral cancer screening is also included as part of every new patient exam.

Your Customized Treatment Plan

If treatment is recommended, we will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, goals, and expectations. Before you leave, our Treatment Coordinator will review the recommended care, explain your financial options, discuss any available insurance benefits, and help schedule any necessary follow-up appointments.

Advanced Intraoral Scanning for Complex Cases

For patients requiring more complex treatment, Dr. Goetz may recommend taking an intraoral digital scan of your teeth. This advanced technology allows us to create a precise digital model of your mouth, giving Dr. Goetz the ability to carefully study your case, evaluate all available options, and develop the most predictable and comprehensive treatment plan. In these cases, we will schedule a dedicated treatment consultation — typically about one week later — where Dr. Goetz will personally present his findings, explain your recommended treatment options in detail, and answer any questions you may have.

FAQs

New Patient Appointment FAQs

How long does a first appointment at Ocean Breeze take?
New patient appointments are designed to be thorough, not rushed. Plan for approximately 60 to 90 minutes. The exact length depends on your oral health history, whether imaging is needed, and how much time you’d like to spend discussing your concerns and options with Dr. Goetz.
We will send new patient forms in advance so you can complete them at home at your own pace. If you prefer, you are welcome to arrive a few minutes early and complete them at our office. Either way, having your health history, medications, and prior dental information ready helps your appointment run smoothly.
Yes, and we encourage it. Prior records, X-rays, or imaging give Dr. Goetz important background on your oral health history and help him avoid repeating diagnostics you’ve already completed. If your previous office can send records directly, that works as well.
We are not in-network with insurance companies, but we file claims on your behalf and help you maximize any PPO reimbursement you are entitled to. Our team will review your coverage during your visit and discuss flexible financing options if needed.
That is a very common situation, and it is one of the reasons patients choose a prosthodontic practice for their first visit back. Dr. Goetz’s evaluation is encompassing enough to give you a full picture of where things stand — without judgment and without pressure to commit to anything before you are ready.
