Military dental coverage in the United States is divided into two separate programs, each serving a different group of beneficiaries. Both are administered by United Concordia and require a network provider.
The TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) is a voluntary dental insurance plan available to eligible military family members and dependents, including spouses and children of active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members and their families, and certain survivors. Enrolled beneficiaries pay a monthly premium and applicable cost-shares for covered services. Using a TDP network dentist such as Dr. Suarez typically results in lower out-of-pocket costs for covered care. You can enroll in TDP through milConnect online or by phone at 844-653-4061. TDP coverage generally starts on the first day of the month following enrollment confirmation.
The Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP) provides civilian dental care for active duty service members and activated National Guard and Reserve members when care cannot be obtained at a military dental treatment facility. Active duty service members must obtain an Appointment Control Number (ACN) from United Concordia at 1-866-984-2337 before receiving any civilian dental care under ADDP. Your ACN is required before your appointment.
Dr. Suarez provides general and preventive dental care for patients using TRICARE Dental Program and Active Duty Dental Program benefits at our Boynton Beach practice.
